Trajectoires is a sound installation that explores the evolving landscape of the Jura forest. Composed of sounds collected in situ, reclaimed speakers, and an intertwining of wooden battens, it is a multichannel listening device that examines the effects of climate change on the soundscapes of a mid-mountain village.

Inspired by Bernie Krause's concept of biophony as a process of self-orchestration in natural environments, the soundscapes of Trajectoires function like a composition of animal music. The installation acts as a human operator of environmental deregulation, where species migrate within the sound spectrum through long glissandi, introducing irregularities and anomalies into the ordinary soundscape.

By amplifying natural sound behaviors and applying them to a wide range of sounds collected in the forest, new sound environments emerge, evoking distant landscapes, ancient forests, aquatic atmospheres, and industrial environments, prompting reflection on the stability of our landscapes. The gradual application of modifications subtly transitions from one universe to another, making it nearly impossible to detect the tipping point between reality and illusion, between the familiarity of the original landscape and the strangeness of soundscapes from elsewhere.
